Silk® Protein & Nutmilk

This post was sponsored by Silk® as part of a sampling activation for Crowdtap. I received complimentary Vanilla Silk® Protein & Nutmilk to facilitate my review.

I went for the Vanilla variety as I wasn’t sure I’d like the unsweetened variant. It’s luckily lightly sweetened which goes a long way as the nut flavor isn’t really there for me. I am tasting more of the pea protein than anything in this. It truly tastes like chickpeas and had a thickness that couldn’t be cut by mixing with milk. I was about to cut it with water, but knew that wouldn’t work well either.

Eventually, I tried it in cold coffee because in warm coffee it cooked the protein to a gelatinous mess. It is amazing in cold coffee and adds value to your daily morning caffeine boosts. I really enjoy mixing this in and knowing how healthily packed with protein it is to make me worry less about the nutrients elsewhere than in something I consume regularly. I also loved to swap this out for ingredients in baked goods (specifically pancakes) which came out spectacularly well and much healthier. It’s a smart option for those looking for a dairy-free, plant-based protein substitute.

Overall, I was also very happy to see that it was soy free as I don’t like soy milk whatsoever and it seems to irritate my throat when I drink it. This is the best option I’ve seen come out of Silk® in a long time that addressed how to replace milk and enjoy the beverage in the same likeness.

Garnier Clearly Brighter Brightening & Smoothing Daily Moisturizer

I received complimentary samples from Garnier through Crowdtap to share and review honestly.

I cannot say how much I love this lotion! It’s practically grease-less which is a big deal for an SPF daily moisturizer! It packs 15 SPF and I couldn’t enjoy the extra benefits of this lotion more. It’s amazing at protecting your skin. It doesn’t bother my eyes with the sunscreen used which is a big deal for me. I used Olay’s daily SPF moisturizer, but it killed my eyes with burning and made my contacts so dirty.

garn1 It came in these tiny sample bottles, but it was perfect to share and pack on-the-go.

The extra great benefits of this moisturizer are that it literally clears, smoothes, and brightens!

According to, it is “Designed with our Antioxidant Complex of Vitamin C & E, Pine Bark Essence, and gentle exfoliating Lipo-Hydroxyl Acid (LHA), this fast absorbing, non-greasy formula turns dull, rough skin into smooth, polished-looking skin with a more radiant, even tone.”

It dramatically brightened my skin in the 7 day challenge. I love using this because it keeps making my skin healthier and keeps me protected.

I have combination skin with a heavily oily T-zone. It works great and protects me on gloomy days very well. It’s even great under makeup, as you can see below!

GoGo squeeZ YogurtZ

I received a complimentary box of GoGo squeeZ YorgurtZ through Crowdtap to review honestly.

go I absolutely love these shelf-stable yogurts! I was familiar with their applesauce line and loved it. The ingredients are amazing. I was chosen to try the Berry flavor.

The Berry flavor is more like raspberry and I am not that into it. It has a great consistency and it’s the perfect portion size. These are awesome for on-the-go and for keeping little ones clean during snack time.

Target has a deal going on Cartwheel in my area this week, so I’m going to get the Strawberry and they also have Banana that might be great with peanut butter.

I prefer the applesauce because it tastes like real fruits smashed into this package. The yogurt is heat-treated and they don’t have to go in the fridge, so it’s a bit different type of consistency than regular yogurt, it’s much thicker, but not like Greek yogurt.

I keep one in my gym bag because they pack a good amount of protein and minerals.

I gave a couple to my sister-in-law for my nephew. He loves them! They are simple to eat and, as far as I know, the kids like them chilled.

I would suggest you mix them with real fruit or cereal puffs.

I’ll be buying more at Target and hoping they have some of the new apple sauces. These are so simple and safe.

Lastly, I love the packaging! It’s not super bad on the environment and can be recycled.

The cap’s easy to remove, even for little hands to start grasping and helping themselves. I highly suggest for those who need a quick bite to eat or an easy, health-conscientious snack on-the-go!

Yummy puree & low sugar!

Sahale Snacks Sample

I received a box full of Sahale Snacks for participating in their crowd on Crowdtap. I was to review the snacks honestly and thoroughly, so here on my thoughts.

This box contained:

  • 1 sample of Sahale Snacks® Honey Almonds Glazed Mix
  • 6 samples of Salted Caramel Apple Pecan Layered Nut Bars
  • 6 samples of Almond Vanilla Latte Layered Nut Bars
  • 1 sample of Sahale Pomegranate Vanilla Flavored Cashews
  • 1 sample of Sahale $1.00 Coupon

Great for an in-between snack in the morning.

I loved the Honey Almonds Glazed mix the most. It was naturally flavored and very filling. I know I’ll be spending my coupon on more of those soon at my nearest store. My least favorite had to be the Salted Caramel Apple Pecan. I don’t like salted caramel that much, but this just completely took away from the apple and had too many layers. I felt the same way with the Almond Vanilla Latte bars. They could have been more simple which I was expecting from Sahale.

Super filling!

I really want to try the pistachio mix and have loved their founding ideology.

My favorites on the site look to be the Dark Chocolate Peanut bar & the Berry Macaroon mix. I absolutely love the flavor combos and know I can’t find them anywhere else…. trust me, I’ve looked as the foodie I am.

I think the Nut Layer Bars were a great idea, but too much can go overboard in terms of flavoring options, which I’m not sure they quite realized with these two they sent.

I ended up mixing some of the Honey Almond Glazed mix into my blueberry muffins for a different nut flavor away from walnut and I was extremely pleased, these are awesome to cook with because the coatings are so natural. I’m definitely going to be picking up more soon.

Easy snack while I work!

Got to try Brookside Crunchy Clusters as a free sample sponsored by Crowdtap and Brookside.

So yummy, chocolatey, and big!

So yummy, chocolatey, and big!

I opened them up as soon as they arrived and haven’t stopped sharing them! They finally came to stores near me so I’ll have to stock up, I wish there was a coupon included so I could have gotten a new bag sooner, as they’re kind of pricey averaging nearly $4 a bag for 5 oz.

My first bite! Look how bit a Crunchy Cluster is!

They are heavenly. The berries inside are so moist and the granola is crunchy, not soggy. I’m very intrigued by the snack.

They are sweet and can be added to a special mix of pretzels and popcorn to surprise guests. I popped them in my ice cream for an extra healthy type of crunch.

I know I’ll be getting more soon because my team at work really loved the dark chocolate. It meshed very well with the fruits and granola unlike a milk chocolate would have.

Great snack for work, relaxing without the guilt!

I know I got great feedback from my coworkers as well, saying they loved how bright the berries tasted and the crunch was an added surprise. One tried it in her vanilla yogurt and said it brought out a flavor that was ultra filling!

I preferred to snack on them at home and will look for coupons soon!
