Johnsonville Grillers

I received complimentary Johnsonville Grillers through Crowdtap to facilitate a review. This review is 100% honest from my heart (& tummy).

Check out my Johnsonville Grillers review on their website with the other Grillers available:

I don’t sugar coat it, I tell it how it is.

j5Johnsonville Grillers are pretty tasty for being a frozen pork product playing as a burger!

I was hesitant to try these because the ingredients are a bit crazy and daunting to look at, the nutrition is horrible, and the flavors didn’t appeal to me tremendously.

Nevertheless, I gave these a go by broiling them and eating them with garlic bread. I was pleasantly surprised! These cooked better than a frozen burger to me, they got some color and they are pre-smoked, so it tastes like you’re bite into a “real grill”-type of bite.

I actually found these taste exactly like bacon pulled from a bacon cheeseburger. I would like to shave these down and top them on a real beef burger because that would be the perfect combination of cheese & bacon.

I actually plated mine with garlic bread and a potato. These were a heavier bite for me, so I would have preferred a salad or something light with them. The garlic bread brought out a nice combination of flavors and I know they had a Steakhouse and Onion flavor that would probably marry well with the garlic bread.

j2 I wouldn’t put these directly on a bun, some people might, I just don’t eat bread that often. I prefer it with a beef burger or a hot dog, but this pork wouldn’t have been appetizing for me.

It’s definitely not kosher as it’s 100% pork cuts, so be wary of your consumers when you take for a BBQ. These are perfect to take for a regular BBQ and as I said, you could make a box last a while if you cut them down once they are cooked. They don’t lose water like frozen burgers, they actually plumped up to me because the cheese expanded.

I would definitely recommend them for pork lovers out there. Be aware that the website also indicates that these are best consumed prior to 30 days of freezing. After 30 days, I guess they lose some flavor; so, don’t stock up on these, only buy when you’re ready to use. I found that interesting as I don’t deal with much frozen pork product and never really gave much thought to the tenderloins I throw in the freezer. Let me know if you tried any of the other flavors!

GoGo squeeZ YogurtZ

I received a complimentary box of GoGo squeeZ YorgurtZ through Crowdtap to review honestly.

go I absolutely love these shelf-stable yogurts! I was familiar with their applesauce line and loved it. The ingredients are amazing. I was chosen to try the Berry flavor.

The Berry flavor is more like raspberry and I am not that into it. It has a great consistency and it’s the perfect portion size. These are awesome for on-the-go and for keeping little ones clean during snack time.

Target has a deal going on Cartwheel in my area this week, so I’m going to get the Strawberry and they also have Banana that might be great with peanut butter.

I prefer the applesauce because it tastes like real fruits smashed into this package. The yogurt is heat-treated and they don’t have to go in the fridge, so it’s a bit different type of consistency than regular yogurt, it’s much thicker, but not like Greek yogurt.

I keep one in my gym bag because they pack a good amount of protein and minerals.

I gave a couple to my sister-in-law for my nephew. He loves them! They are simple to eat and, as far as I know, the kids like them chilled.

I would suggest you mix them with real fruit or cereal puffs.

I’ll be buying more at Target and hoping they have some of the new apple sauces. These are so simple and safe.

Lastly, I love the packaging! It’s not super bad on the environment and can be recycled.

The cap’s easy to remove, even for little hands to start grasping and helping themselves. I highly suggest for those who need a quick bite to eat or an easy, health-conscientious snack on-the-go!

Yummy puree & low sugar!

Reynolds® Slow Cooker Liners

I received Reynolds Slow Cooker Liners for participating in the brand crowd on Crowdtap in exchange for my honest opinion and cooking skills.

This has been one of my favorite samples by far! It’s perfect timing for the cold here in Cleveland and I have been ultra busy that buying a Crock Pot was the best thing to happen to my apartment and life!

I immediately immersed myself in  to find a few recipes to appease my palette. I found a great recipe for Chili that I started the first night I got the liners. I always avoid making hearty dishes like this with tomato sauce because I absolutely despise the clean up involved. However, these liners changed my life! Cooking food has been cut into a quarter of the time it used to take me from start to finish with these and a slow cooker. I’m never going back, always keeping these on hand now that I have some coupons and have been looking for sales because the only drawback is that they are kind of pricey.

Kick back with a kickin’ chili!

I was also able to freeze the leftovers I had and reheat to perfection 3 weeks later!

I decided I was in the mood for spicey foods and found myself craving nachos! Without a doubt, this recipe with chicken, cheese, and jalapeno is the best thing you could bring to the next game day or for movie night with the family. I stays warm and gooey to spread over nachos or dip as you’d like.

Andddd it’s so easy to make and clean up. The cheese had hardened as cheeses do to the bottom of the liner. I couldn’t imagine scrubbing this from my stoneware even after an overnight soak. You get the best of both worlds with great homemade food and easy clean up.

Last night, I made chicken & rice. I accidentally messed up the rice by overcooking it, so I tossed the rice after I dug out the seasoned cooked chicken. Next time, I’m going to add butter and cook the rice separately to just pour over.

It was fun experimenting and trying new recipes I would have never thought of before. I know I’ll be buying more and keeping these on my shelf because Reynolds always produces the highest quality cooking aides I have ever seen in my 25 years.
